Which party suits you?

The woodland critters have been busy in our forest and accidentally locked a treasure chest securely. Now we can’t get it open… Fortunately, you can help!

Which party is right for your party crew depends on the age and height of each climber. For the smallest climbers we have the Mini Kids Party, for the slightly taller party animals the Children’s Party. Below you can read the differences for each party!

Mini Children’s Party (6+ years, 110+ cm, 2 hours)

While climbing, find all the bananas in your color, find the three numbers on the bananas and crack the lock together with this code.

Supervision (18+) is mandatory for this children’s party (recommended 1 supervisor for every 4 Minis). Allow for 15 minutes of extra fun searching and cracking the crate after climbing!

Children’s party (8+ years, 130+ cm, 3 hours)

Find the answers to the questions in the trees, count the bananas in your color and count all the yellow bananas. Use these numbers to solve a sum, only then will you crack the code of the chest!

With birthdays comes presents, so as a birthday boy or girl you will receive a gift certificate for a free climbing ticket for a mini or child (worth a minimum of € 20). That way, after your party, you can simply return to the forest for another adventure in the treetops.

Instructie en veiligheid Klimmen als gezin Lengte, leeftijd en kledingvoorschriften

Is klimmen veilig voor beginners?

Absoluut! Klimmen bij Fun Forest is geschikt voor ieder niveau. Voordat je begint, bekijk je op je telefoon onze veiligheidsinstructie. Daarna doe je een oefenrondje laag bij de grond, zodat je rustig kunt wennen. Tijdens het klimmen ben je altijd gezekerd met ons speciale systeem, dus je zit vanaf het begin tot het einde vast. Beginners starten het beste op één van de lagere parcoursen, zo kun je rustig wennen aan het klimmen.

Krijg ik een instructie voordat ik begin?

Ja! Bij ieder bezoek is het verplicht om onze veiligheidsinstructie te bekijken. Scan bij aankomst de QR-code en volg de video aandachtig. Hierin leggen we alles uit: van het aantrekken van je gordel en helm tot de regels tijdens het klimmen. Na het tonen van het groene scherm bij de receptie ontvang je je klimmaterialen en kun je starten.

Zijn er instructeurs die helpen tijdens het klimmen?

Jazeker! In het bos lopen altijd getrainde instructeurs (‘Rode Helmen’) rond om te helpen als je ergens vastloopt. Ook zijn er redders aanwezig om te assisteren wanneer dat nodig is.

Wat als ik hoogtevrees heb?

We snappen dat hoogtevrees spannend kan zijn. Begin dan op de laagste parcoursen, daar ben je nog niet hoog en kun je rustig wennen. Vaak merk je dat je focust op het klimmen en de obstakels, en de hoogte dan nauwelijks voelt. Vind je het toch te spannend? Onze instructeurs kunnen vanaf de grond rustig tips geven en helpen, zodat je stap voor stap verder kunt.

Hoe werkt het zekersysteem?

Bij Fun Forest klim je met twee systemen: Zaza en de katrol.

De katrol gebruik je om te tokkelen.
De Zaza is je veiligheidshaak. Aan het begin van ieder parcours schuif je de Zaza over een metalen plaatje en zit je vast aan de kabel, zo zit je het hele parcours gezekerd. Aan het einde schuif je hem los en stap je veilig weer op de grond. Zo kun je volledig ontspannen klimmen, zonder dat je ooit loskomt.

Dienen volwassenen mee te klimmen?

Dit ligt geheel aan de lengte van het kind. Hieronder leggen we het voor je uit:

Explorers (vanaf 90 cm): in onze nieuwe Explorer parcoursen klimmen ouders niet mee, wel is het verplicht dat de ouder altijd naast de klimmer blijft lopen.

Mini klimmers (<130 cm): een Mini Begeleider (18+) moet mee klimmen. Wij raden 1 begeleider op 4 mini’s aan. Zo blijft iedereen veilig én is het extra gezellig!

Kinderen ≥130 cm: mee klimmen is niet verplicht, maar samen het parcours trotseren is natuurlijk extra leuk. Let op: voor sommige parcoursen moeten kinderen kleiner dan 150 cm wel begeleid worden door een volwassene.

Als ik een jongeren & volwassenen ticket koop, kan ik dan met mijn kind mee klimmen?

Jazeker! Met dit ticket kun je alle parcoursen, met uitzondering van de Mini parcoursen, op.

Wil je mee klimmen en zelf alle parcoursen ontdekken? Dan is dit ticket perfect.

Mag jouw kind alleen in de Mini parcoursen klimmen? Dan is het verplicht om als Mini Begeleider mee te klimmen, je bent dan alleen toegang tot de Mini parcoursen.

Wil je liever alleen aanmoedigen vanaf de grond? Dan heb je geen ticket nodig, maar blijf wel op de paden, zo blijft het bos mooi en veilig.

Ik wil alleen met mijn kind mee klimmen. Welk ticket moet ik kopen?

Mini parcoursen (<130 cm): je hebt altijd een Mini Begeleider ticket (18+) nodig om mee te klimmen. Zo kunnen de kleinste klimmers veilig en gezellig samen met jou het parcours verkennen.

Alle overige parcoursen: Oudere kinderen of wil je ook op de hogere parcoursen meeklimmen? Kies dan voor een Jongeren & Volwassenen ticket.

Niet mee klimmen, alleen kijken: geen ticket nodig! Je kunt gewoon onder de parcoursen meelopen en je kind aanmoedigen.

Moet ik een ticket kopen als ik niet mee wil klimmen?

Nee! Je mag gewoon gratis het bos inlopen onder de parcoursen. Zo kun je je kinderen aanmoedigen en een oogje in het zeil houden. Blijf wel op de paden, zo blijft het bos gezond en veilig voor iedereen.

Hoe lang/oud moet je zijn om te kunnen klimmen?

In al onze bossen moet je minimaal 110 cm* zijn om te kunnen klimmen. De adviesleeftijd hierbij is 6 jaar. Wij werken met een minimale lengte en adviesleeftijd. De lengte is leidend, op basis hiervan bepalen wij of iemand mag klimmen of niet.

* Vanaf april kunnen ook de allerkleinsten vanaf 90+ cm (adviesleeftijd 3+ jaar) in de Explorer parcoursen in onze bossen in Amsterdam en Rotterdam klimmen.

Ga jij klimmen in Almere, Amsterdam, Rotterdam of Venlo? Bekijk dan de desbetreffende pagina om alle minimumlengtes voor de verschillende parcoursen te zien.

Mijn kind is 1 cm te klein maar heeft wel de leeftijd, kan dit?

Nee, de lengte (met schoenen aan) is doorslaggevend. De leeftijd is enkel een advies en deze mag afwijken.

Is er een maximum gewicht?

Aan sommige onderdelen in de Extreme parcours zit een maximum gewicht van 130kg. Per parcours is dit duidelijk aangegeven op het bordje. Vanuit een van onze gasten hebben we meegekregen dat de landing bij deze onderdelen ook al minder fijn is bij een lichaamsgewicht van 120 kg, dus is het verstandig om dit mee te nemen in de eigen keuze om een bepaald parcours en/of onderdeel wel of niet te doen. Twijfel je? Dan kan je het ook altijd even aan ons personeel vragen. Het kan zijn dat een zwaarlijvige klimmer een speciale klimgordel krijgt. Deze zit vaak lekkerder en maakt het klimmen comfortabeler. Twijfel je of de klimgordel past? Dan mag je altijd vooraf langskomen om deze te passen, zodat je niet voor een verrassing komt te staan.

Wat zijn de kledingvoorschriften?

Makkelijk zittende kleding en stevige (gesloten) schoenen. Klimmen met slippers, sandalen, Crocs of hakken is niet toegestaan.
