Our Explorer courses are fully equipped for the little ones. Low heights, simple obstacles and above all lots of fun. The perfect first step in climbing adventure, where children can really discover, try and grow for the first time!

First climbing experience for little adventurers

That first wobbly step. Carefully one hand forward. And then … go.

For many young children, our Explorer courses are their very first climbing experience besides the playground climbing frame! This can be a bit exciting at first. Fortunately, our courses are designed so that parents can walk alongside their child. This way you can encourage, laugh, be proud and sometimes help for a while.

Explore safely and independently

Safety is paramount in our forest. Just like in our “big forest,” climbers are constantly secured and climb in an environment that is completely age and height appropriate. At the same time, we encourage independence.

And in the meantime, all sorts of things are happening:

  • They dare with every obstacle just a little more
  • They try a difficult bit again
  • They grow in independence and self-confidence with each step

This is one of those moments when you see: they can do more than they thought!

Did you know that our Explorer courses in Amsterdam are also built sustainably? We work together with De Houtwerf, an initiative founded in 2021 with one clear mission: not to let any Amsterdam wood go to waste. Following the principle of “not a scrap out of the city,” wood from the city is given a second life.

Thus, children not only climb among the trees, but also on courses with a story. Sustainable, local and ready for a new generation of adventurers.

Well prepared for adventure

Before the climbing adventure begins, you will watch a short video instruction together. This explains step by step how climbing in our Explorer courses works and how to use the equipment.

Also on the Explorer courses, children get:

  • A climbing harness of your own
  • A helmet

The belts are designed to make it easy for parents to put them on the children themselves. Belt on and helmet on? Then it’s time to explore!
